A Little Make-up Goes A Long Way for Online Dating
Ladies just need a little rouge to get dates, according to a new survey.
Researchers found that women who wear make-up in their profile pictures are three times more likely to get online date requests.
After evaluating 1,200 women's profiles, Zoosk, the dating site and application, found that women were three times more likely to be messaged if they were wearing eye shadow, lipstick and blush.
The latest findings revealed that eye makeup was the most effective in scoring dates. Study results revealed that women with painted lids were 139 percent more likely to receive first messages than those who did not.
Lipstick was the second best weapon, as women who wore it received 119 percent more messages than those who did not.
Pink cheeks were also influential in scoring dates. Research revealed that women who wore blush or bronzer were 24 percent more likely than those who did not to receive messages from potential suitors.
While makeup was always preferred, the study, which involved 1,800 male members, also revealed that men preferred "au-natural' makeup.
The findings revealed that 66 percent found dark make-up as unattractive, and 57 percent found red lipstick to be a turn-off when it comes to choosing fist dates, according to the Daily Mail.
