Five Ways You Can Cheer Yourself Up

We all have days when we are sad about something, and it is quite normal. Not everything can go as we expect them to be. However it is imperative that in those sad days we keep trying to keep ourselves happy because happy people are also healthy people. 

Here we present you some very simple ways to cheer yourself. 

Watch something funny

Laughter lifts up our spirit (and is also good for our heart health). We all have our favorite show/movie which makes us smile no matter how many times we have watched it. Keep laughter therapy as your go-to remedy.

2. Head outdoors

Step outdoors and it will certainly make a difference. Prefer sitting in a garden for a while. Vitamin D is essential for body and its scarcity can make you depressed. Experts recommend that one should spend 15 minutes daily in sun.

3. Exercise

Working out releases chemicals in the brain. These chemicals include a 'feel good' chemical known as endorphins which will make you feel better.

4. Try massage therapy

A nice massage will help relax and cheer you up like nothing else. You can opt for a head, foot or full body massage, but make sure you select a place that is hygienic and won't hurry you up. 

5. Use aromatherapy oils

Aromatherapy oils such as jasmine or geranium will not only relax you but will also cheer you up. Put these oils in a fragrance diffuser or spray some drops around the house.
