Four Herbs And Their Uses

Here are four herbs that apart from adding flavor to the food, also up the health quotient of the dishes.

Basil

Basil can be used as a fresh dried. It can be chopped finely and used in the pasta sauce. The dried variety can be sprinkled on the dishes to ass taste. Full basil leaves can be used in salads too.

Chives

Chives add great color to the food. It can be added in omelets or other starchy vegetables. It can also be used with fruits. Chives also have a long shelf life, hence can be stored in the fridge too. 

Pudina

Pudina can be chopped and used in yogurt for a quick and delicious dip. Adding mint in salad can turn it into a refreshing summer dish. Some add it in the tea for a minty taste as well. 

Rosemary

It is a very sweet and savory herb that works great with meat. You can add this along with pepper to take a yummy meat rub.
