Arizona Woman had 180 Orgasms in Two Hours
A woman in Arizona who suffers from a condition called persistent genital arousal syndrome (PGAD), reported having 180 orgasms in two hours.
According to Daily Mail, Cara Anaya Carlis has to put up with six hours of arousal every day. She says that her orgasms are not assisted by means of any sexual contact, and often leave her drained. The stay-at-home mum of a 10-year old says PGAD has ruined her life as she cannot work normally, and her friends have alienated her.
"'It is embarrassing and confusing and humiliating,' she said, according to Daily Mail.
Carlis says that arousal can happen anywhere, preventing her from venturing out. The first time the condition hit her, Carlis was shopping, Metro reported. She reported being aroused by things around her and odours, which eventually caused her to orgasm multiple times even as she buckled to the floor.
The condition is also taking a toll on Carlis's sex life which she describes as abnormal owing to her persistent arousal.
PGAD was not recognized as a disorder in medical literature until about a decade ago when it was demonstrated. Though not much is known, the condition is associated with hyper-functioning of sensory nerves in the genital areas. The disorder has been documented in both men and women.
Given that much is not known about the disorder, no specific treatments exist. Those like Carlis, often exhaust all possibilities of a cure. Diet change, modifying exercise regime and change in lifestyle seldom brings any relief, worsened by medical practitioners and family's unwillingness to initially recognize the condition as real.
