NBA News and Trade Rumors: LA Lakers Coach Undergoes Criticism for showing Preference for Veterans
The transfer rumors reach an all new high with Chicago Bulls Players set to be transferred to the LA Lakers roster. Internet has been rife with the potential transfer of Bull's star player, Derrick Rose's to Lakers. The rumor stems from the idea that Lakers will be acquiring the point guard of Bulls in a potential two-way process which will give the Lakers to make a choice. Christian Today reports that the Lakers will have to pay a huge sum to get Derrick Rose into their side. On the other hand, Lakers may also go for a multiplayer deal and settle the deal for a lot less price. This move could mean that the team will sacrifice Jordan Clarkson, Nick Young and Lou Williams in this transfer process.
It is not just Derrick Rose that is being eyed by the Lakers. Another veteran player that is speculated to be traded with the Lakers is Taj Gibson in exchange for Brandon Bass. This transfer seems to make sense since the Bulls already has big men like Joakim Noah, Nikola Mirotic, Pau Gasol and their latest addition, Bobby Portis. It has been said that if the rumor if Taj Gibson moving to Lakers is indeed true then he will also be required to mentor some new players on the team such as Julius Randle, as per Realty Today.
Gibson will not only be a mentor and additional help but will also get more valuable time to play compared to what Chicago was giving to him, reported Fox Sports. He will have a chance to become the veteran player in the team of Byron Scott who is known to favor seasoned players in his rosters over rookies. This idea of preference has drawn criticism for Byron Scott on how he is managing his players and his team.
