Following the recent events at the Nevada brothel, Lamar Odom underwent a blood test and has been tested positive for cocaine. Officials are considering criminal charges following the report. After the results were revealed, investigators of the case sought direction from the prosecution on Monday regarding what needs to be done with the former NBA player who almost died in a brothel. Nye County District Attorney, Angela Bello, released an official statement saying, "the Sheriff's Office has yet to submit any matter involving Mr. Odom to my office. If and when the matter is submitted, it will go through a screening process as do all cases. This will involve a review of all the evidence gathered as part of the Sheriff's investigation and based on that evidence, a decision as to what, if any, charges would be appropriate will be made," reports TMZ.

Nye county sheriff said that it is possible to press criminal charges against Odom if he was using illegal drugs. Investigators on this case procured the necessary search warrant so as to test Odom's blood after they spoke with the prostitutes who found his unconscious and bleeding from his nose at Love Ranch. The search warrant affidavit claim that the prostitutes said they heard Odom snort something in the bathroom. "Through interviews with the prostitutes who were with him since that point, it was learned that he possibly ingested cocaine in the bathroom," said Michael Eisenloffel, Nye County Sheriff's detective, in a sworn testimony to apply for a warrant. He was also seen popping a pill, reports LA Times.

When Odom was found unconscious, Love Ranch staffers called for help and they informed the authorities that he was seen consuming cocaine three days before and combined a mystery pill with alcohol, reported NY Daily News.
