Don’t be Surprised if you Find Hotel Sex More Enjoyable, Here’s Why
If you are amongst those people who had sex in a hotel room and thought, it was better then you are not alone. Apparently, having sex in a hotel room is known to induce chemical response in our brain that makes sex more enjoyable than doing it in your bedrooms, said Ian Kerner, sex counselor, licensed psychotherapist and the best selling author of "she comes first" and Passionista: The Empowered Woman's Guide To Pleasuring A Man", reports Huffington Post.
Kerner told Huffington Post that anytime a couple is engaged in a sexual intercourse in a hotel room as against their own bedroom, the novelty of the hotel room is going to stimulate dopamine transmission in the brain, which pays a big role in arousal and sexual excitement". The main reason for this can be attributed to the design of the hotel room which is supposed to enhance your overall experience and make it more luxurious. The lighting is good, there is scented candles, a big comfy bed, expensive linen and other ambient things are meant to appeal to all the five senses.
Kerner also mentioned that "for sexual arousal to occur, especially in women, parts of the brain associated with anxiety and stress need to turn off, "So I often advise couples to turn their bedroom into a love nest that's free from distractions. I think a hotel -- as a sort of generic luxury -- automatically helps people tune out the anxiety. There aren't photos of kids, bills that need to be paid, books that need to be read; you're in a place out of time, out of your life. And the shutting down or the pushing away of that anxiety, creating a boundary of anxiety and stressors of everyday life, is going to contribute to sexual arousal", he told Huffington Post.
