Singapore Ranked World's Healthiest Nation, U.S. Is 33rd
In a recently released report based on information from the United Nations, the World Bank and the World Health Organization, Singapore topped the world's list of healthy nations, according to businessinsider.
Bloomberg Rankings harnessed a health score and a health risk score, in which the nation's health risk score was subtracted from its health score.
The health score was equal to a country's mortality rate, even while its health risk score was equal to a number of factors that were threatening, including the smokers and those who had immunized, reported HNGN.
The topper in the list with an overall grade of 89.45 percent was Singapore. It was followed by Italy with a score of 89.07 percent and thirdly Australia, with an 88.33 percent.
Sadly, the US was 33rd in the list, with a score of 66.84 percent, while U.K. ranked 21st. Hence, these two countries were not even in the top 20.
Among the bottommost in the list were Swaziland, the least healthy with a score of 0.26 percent. Other African nations, such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad and Mozambique, were also featured in the list of bottom 10.
