Are you on the lookout for happiness in your life? Tired and exhausted from the dullness and monotony that revolves around your life? Well, that tempting vanilla yoghurt right in front of you might be the heavenly reason for the attainment of endless happiness.

A bit uncanny and askew, scientists have recently revealed the true essence to be happy. They claim that vanilla yoghurt performs the right purpose and elevates the moods of those who are seeking happiness and joy.

The researchers from Wageningen UR Food & Biobased Research in the Netherlands, the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Austria and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland initiated their survey by using three groups of 24 participants. The intent was to analyze the emotional mood swings after consuming ample amounts of yoghurt. Using a novel research method named as emotive projection test, researchers took the help from the mentioned procedure in order to determine the effects of yoghurt on people's emotional states. The study claims that based on the individual’s judgement of others, we can actually establish their emotional outlook and how they are currently dwelling in their emotional responses. Based on this, they were asked to rate the pictures of others so as to investigate their mood swings.

The participants were allowed to taste an assorted range of yoghurts of the same brand, but with different palates. The examiners commenced the practice with the help of four methods, including the newly discovered emotive projection test.

The fallouts disclosed that the brand did not really had an impact on the participants, but the flavors did. The fruit related yoghurt did not have any noteworthy consequences, though lower-fat versions of the yoghurts raised up their happiness level.

But the results exhibited by the use of vanilla guaranteed the researchers that the particular taste and smell has significant, positive impact on the individual's mind. This also further backs up the fact that vanilla scent is mostly used in the workplace environment and other stressful milieus in order to lessen the negative thoughts and in short, aggression.

The study was published in the journal Food Research International and classified vanilla as one of the stress reliever.
