New Phablet by Android will Give Samsung Galaxy Note 5 a Run for its Money
Huawei was not done basking in the glory of Nexus 6P's success when it once again wowed the smart phone industry with brand new flagship phablet that bears the name of Android devices. This handset, Huawei Mate 8 is called the hottest kid on the block and is proving to be the new thing to watch out for! The brand new phablet sports a six-inch screen that gives many pixels a tough competition with even better battery life. Mate 8 also has some fashionable bezels that make the screen look bigger than its actual size. The smart phone is powered with its own octa-core processor called Kirin 950. Four 2.3 GHz core and four 1.8 GHz cores along with Mali-T880 graphics chip, LTE 4G modem and 16nm based chip gives the handset a performance boost. The users have the choice between 32GB storage and 3GB RAM, 64 GB storage with 4GB RAM and the high end model that comes with 128 GB storage and 4GB RAM, as reported by Forbes.
The phone comes equipped with the latest version of Android that is layered with Huawei's own UI above the Google baseline. It is called EmotionUI and is the fourth version rolled as a Huawei's interface. There is no official word on the pricing of the handset yet. It will most likely be declared when Mate 8 debuts the US market next year. In China, the entry-level phone is priced at 3,199 Yuan which is approximately $470, 64 GB costs 3,699 Yuan around $580 and the high-end model costs 128 GB which is 4,399 Yuan or $690. The prices in US will be close to these prices but somewhat on the higher side, according to Tech Times. In any case, it will be cheaper than Note 5 and iPhone 6s Plus.
