Its Official, Sony to Roll out Remote Play App for Windows and Mac Soon
Just a few days back, an unofficial app to stream PS4 gaming to your PC was launched and soon after, Sony's Shuhei Yoshida announced on Twitter that there is company is working on the Remote Play option for Mac and PC. This app will be supported with Mac OS X, which is a one up for Sony because Xbox One is only compatible with Windows 10. Yoshida has not announced a date yet. This is, however, bad news for the unofficial developer of the app who has been working on the project for over a year and planned ot charge $10 for all the hard work they put in. If nothing else, they do deserve credit for getting Sony up on their game, reported Engadget.
After the announcement of unofficial app for PS4 remote play for PC, many people poured in their views by writing articles about the upcoming release. Apparently, Sony heard this too and soon they made the confirmation that they are working for on PS4 remote play workable on Mac and PC. This concept is not exactly new for Sony as you can already stream games to PlayStation Vita and some of its phones. There is also an option to buy PlayStation TV to stream your games on another TV. For Xbox One users, Microsoft recently launched remote play to be used on your PC. However, it can only be run on Windows 10 which is very unfortunate for the Mac users, says Tech Crunch
Remote Play launched with PS4 has been one of the most well regarded features. Sony used the same technology to android based devices. However, it is safe to assume that people would rather want that Sony open up its Remote Play option on iOS and Android device before making a shift on Macs and PCs, as reported by Tech Radar.
