Microsoft has agreed to let the OneDrive users to keep their existing 15GB free cloud storage and the additional camera roll bonus storage of 15GB rather than reducing it to 5GB as announced earlier, you can take back what is yours only if you claim it. The users can take the advantage of this offer by visiting the Microsoft page. If you want to avail the offer, you can go to the company's page and manually make the selection. However, the OneDrive users who do not know about this offer will not be able to benefit from it. But there is a small catch, by selecting the offer, you are also agreeing to the barrage of promotional email that will be sent to you from OneDrive. But Microsoft clarifies that the users have the option to unsubscribe. You can also uncheck the "promotional email box" to prevent receiving the email, says PC World.

Last month, Microsoft upset many of its users by announcing its plans to reduce the OneDrive free from 15GB to 5GB. As a result, it created a backlash amongst the OneDrive fans due to which the company was forced to respond. "We've heard clearly from our Windows and OneDrive fans about the frustration and disappointment we have caused," says a Microsoft spokesperson. "We realize the announcement came across as blaming customers for using our product. For this, we are truly sorry and would like to apologize to the community," reported The Verge

Even though this may not be the solution for everyone, if you are a OneDrive subscriber, you can keep your account active for those "just in case" times. The users have a month and a half to go to the company's page and request to keep their storage active, says android police.
