At an incident that occurred in south-western Baluchistan province, at least thirteen militants have been found to be killed, when the security officials had launched a search operation in the Awaran district. The search operation was carried out after militants attacked a convoy of security forces in the tankor area of the Awaran on Sunday night.

The militants had opened fire against the security forces, who in turn retaliated and several militants were also injured but escaped with the help of their fleeing accomplices.

A local administration official said, "13 suspected militants were killed after exchange of the fire with the security forces, a huge cache of weapons was recovered from their custody. Their bodies have been moved to a local hospital".

  The official said that the battle against the militants has continued throughout the day on Monday.
