Afghanistan's Nangarhar province has ISIS followers who have started a radio station called "Voice of the Caliphate", so that they can promote propaganda in order to attract recruits.

The radio has been the platform for a lot of revolutionary propaganda, said Haji Ghalib, a senior political functionary in Achin district, according to NBC News.

Earlier this week, the Sunni jihadist group put out a number of fatwas launching a call for youths.

"It is clear they have their own radio and I think it is broadcasting on 90FM and doing too much anti-government propaganda. This radio will have a negative impact on us Muslims and the new generation and youth," said local MP Fridon Khan Momand.

In Afghanistan, ISIS fighters were involved in fiery clashes with the Taliban. In the eastern province of Nangarhar there have been a number of clashes between Talibani militants and Daesh supporters, with about a dozen ISIS militants killed in fresh conflict on Tuesday, Pajhwok  reported.

General John Campbell, the commander of U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan, issued a warning that Daesh supporters are targeting the establishment of a base in Jalalabad.

"The foreign fighters from Syria and Iraq have joined Afghans who have declared loyalty to the group in the eastern province of Nangarhar," Campbell said on Tuesday.
