Windows phone users will have to wait some more before the latest update for their OS is launched. They have to deal with a lot of problems as it, a new name every year, fewer apps and a third spot in the market because there are only three operating systems! Now the confirmed further delay of Windows 10 update is only making things worse. Yet again Microsoft failed to deliver on their promise of releasing the much awaited Windows 10 Mobile to the existing phone devices. Originally it was scheduled to be rolled out in December which has been delayed to early next year. "The Windows 10 Mobile upgrade will begin rolling out early next year to select existing Windows 8 and 8.1 phones," a Microsoft spokesperson told VentureBeat. This means that there will no update at all in December 2015 for a windows phone.

When the first announcement for Windows 10 was made by the company, they said that the update will first arrive for the PCs and then for the mobile users in the fall. The operating system's release for the PC made perfect sense because windows user base on PC is much larger than its mobile colleague. Following the announcement, it was speculated that the upgrade will be available only for select devices running on Windows 8 and 8.1 and that it will not be available to everyone on the first day itself. Eventually, the company announced that update will be rolled out in December, reported iDigital Times

On December 17th, however, a Microsoft Spokesperson released another statement that the update for Windows 10 Mobile will be released in 2016. "The Windows 10 mobile upgrade will begin rolling out next year to select existing Windows 8 and 8.1 phones," the statement read. The company still didn't give out the exact date for the roll out still, said IBN Live.
