Somalia bans Christmas and New Year’s Celebrations!

 The Government of Somalia has issued a ban on the celebration of Christmas and new years in the territory, calling it to be 'nothing to do with Islam'.

The announcement was echoed by the Islamist militants Al Shabaab, which controlled the capital Mogadishu until 2011.

Though the majority population if the country happen to be from the Islamic comm. Unity, Abdifatah Halane, spokesman for the Mogadishu mayor stated, "Christmas will not be celebrated in Somalia for two reasons; all Somalis are Muslims and there is no Christian community here. The other reason is for the security. Christmas is for Christians. Not for Muslims".
