Apple’s Live Photos gets Facebook Support

Just three months before Apple launched a unique feature for its iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, Live Photos and now the big guns are finding ways to integrate this feature into their platform. Tumblr started featuring live photos on their platform and now Facebook too has joined the bandwagon. Facebook has already started rolling out the new update for iPhone users who will have the ability to upload and view live photos from their iOS apps. The only catch, however, is that since Live Photos are fairly new, Facebook will not be supporting this feature at once for all the users. While for many people, the feature will be available as early as this morning, many will not be able to see it until new year. The uploading of live photos is the same except for the one extra step, when you upload the photo from your camera roll, a "LIVE" box will appear on the bottom right of your screen, tap that for the photo to upload as a Live Photo, said Tech Crunch.

In iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, by default you will get a live photo when you click a photo. This image comes with a 1.5 seconds of audio and motion after you press the shutter button. As a result, what is captured is a moment in action. After the moments in action are captured, they will be now easier to share with Facebook announcing the support for Live Photos in its app via an update, as per Fast Company.

These live photos are also going to be visible to users on their OS X El Capital and Apple Watch. To upload the live photo, it is necessary to click the live photo icon and before they publish the photo, users have to ensure that the image is live, reported India Today.
