Rumors continue to pour in about an impending launch of iPhone 7C. New reports claim a leak from state owned China Mobile confirms the existence of the device which could launch April next year.

Citing other sources, Value Walk reported that the new mobile will be called iPhone 7C and not iPhone 6C indicating that it Apple could launch it as a precursor to iPhone 7. The device would feature a 4-inch screen, aimed at the budget conscious user. The iPhone 7C would resemble the iPhone 5S with a metal body. The leak comes from a presentation that Chinese mobile network China Mobile made, the report claims.

Several reports have emerged in the past that claimed Apple is working on a 4-inch device scaled down hardware the company could put in iPhone 7. If it exists, the iPhone 7C could help the Cupertino giant to phase out its older device including iPhone 5S.

Though reports have differed on the specifications of the rumored iPhone 7C, all have pointed to an April launch for the device. If Apple is indeed planning to launch a 4-inch phone, it could be alongside the successor to the first Apple Watch, rumored Watch 2.
