In 2013, the rate of twin birth was 33.7, UPI reports while adding that rate of triplet and other higher-order births reduced by 40 percent since 1998.
Around 1.6 million births babies were born out of the wedlock, with black women registering the highest percentage of such births. The average age of black mothers, 26.9 years, was lower than Hispanic and White mothers, the report shows.
