Mark Zuckerberg, Daughter Create Set Off Vaccine Debate
Mark Zuckerberg and his daughter recently became the eye of an online stormy vaccine debate recently.
Zuckerberg's newborn Max was at the doctor's with daddy dearest who posted a snap to his Facebook, according to New York Daily News. And lo! The photo became subject of hot debate, with some criticizing Zuckerberg for getting his daughter vaccinated. Most others however supported him for doing the right thing.
"As someone with autism, with a son with autism, as someone who is constantly watching good people put their own children at serious risk because of old, fraudulent fears of vaccines and autism... thank you for being sensible. Thank you for doing what's right and also for showing everyone else that it's the right thing to do as well," read one of the comments commending the Facebook CEO.
The 'Doctor's visit - time for vaccines' post received over 3 million likes in the two days it has been around. Most anti-vaxxers who expressed concerns, warned of the link between autism and vaccines, which was rubbished by others who supported Zuckerebrg.
Zuckerberg's wife Priscilla Chan gave birth towards the end of last year. Following the child's birth, Zuckerberg and Chan pledged most of their wealth to improve life on the planet. Zuckerberg also made news recently for his New Year challenges and net neutrality debate in India.
