The new series, Telescope, directed by Oscar nominated filmmaker Nathaniel Kahn, will be about the exciting behind-the-scenes journey into the evolution of telescopes, NASA's James Webb Space Telescope, to the next step. This huge instrument is being designed and built by new generation. This telescope is said to be at least 100 times more powerful and effective than the Hubble Space Telescope. It will be a valuable device that will help the researchers in studying the origins of our universe and also locate the signatures of prospective life on planets outside of the solar system. Many scientists and researchers, including Matt Mountain, president of Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy and former director of Space Telescope Science Institute, use this opportunity to explain how Webb will play an instrumental role in answering an important question, "Is there another home for the human race out there among the stars?", as reported by Broadway World.
This powerful device will be created with collective collaboration of people and technologies such as astrophysicists, Northrop Grumman engineers, NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center's personnel and Space Telescope Science Institute, the Hubble and Webb operations center. TELESCOPE is a series that will highlight the high-stake mission of creating this massive instrument that is being built to perfection by all these people. The film will also look back into the comprehensive history that goes back 400 years when the telescopes were introduced by Galileo in 1609. Webb will be the next great telescope that will help the scientists and researchers to look deeper into the universe and answer some fundamental questions that remain unanswered to this date, said Discovery Communications.

TELESCOPE will premiere on Saturday, February 20^th at 9 PM ET/PT, as a part of part of science weekend, exclusively on Discovery Channel. The film will be premiered by Science Channel on February 21^st at 9 PM, says Broadway World
