Video: Innovative ThirdLove App Measures Your Bra Size Without Tape
Most women are not able to find the perfect bra size that can fit, support and lift the breast.
In a previous study, it was found that as most women are puzzled as to which bra size will fit them, they are not able to give the right measurements, says The Daily Mail.
A new app has been invented by an underwear company to solve this problem. It measures a woman's exact bra size only by aiming the app at her chest area.
This is the ThirdLove, which can be downloaded for any iOS device. A woman needs to shoot herself in her bra or tank top, after which the app will "talk her through" taking the photos at the accurate angles. In five minutes, the right size can be calculated. The measurements are so accurate that even half-cup sizes can be recommended.
However, these are never shared by the software, according to ThirdLove founder Heidi Zak. "All of our sizing takes place on your phone. We never view, upload or share your photos," she said, according to The Guardian.
"In essence, when you think of a women in the store getting out the measuring tape, we are doing that using a phone as a standard unit of measure," Zak added.
Moreover, the app matches its users with bras and underwear sold on ThirdLove's site, using an Android app, according to the site's FAQ page.
