Outlook users on iOS and Android can now enjoy easier access to their calendars and video conference. On Jan. 13th, Microsoft announced that they have given a facelift to their iOS and Android version of Outlook to include new and interesting features. "Today, updates to Outlook for iOS and Android make it easy to schedule and begin a group chat and call with your friends and colleagues using Skype," said the Outlook team. "Additionally, we updated Outlook with new calendaring features, improved our navigation for Android and delivered on some of your top feature requests."

Outlook will now allow the users to insert a skype call to their event through the Skype Call Toggle option in the app. When you tap the toggle button, it will automatically generate a link that will be added to the description of the event. Participants just need to click on the shared link to join the scheduled conference call. If you do not have a skype account or do not have it installed on your device, you can also use Skype for Web, recent launch by Microsoft, reported 9to5 Mac

This new feature allows the team to help users in managing their professional as well as personal schedules. They can also take a glance at their full schedule in a two-week or three-day mode. This feature is yet to be released on Android as the unique two-week mini-calendar capability and 'set the week' option is only available on iOS. However, the team says that these features will be soon available for Android too. Microsoft also added that they are taking the customer feedback into account and making the functionalities available based on their opinion, as reported by Tech Times
