Cosmic Particles May Reveal Ancient Pyramid Secrets
Researchers are planning to analyse cosmic particles in a pyramid in order to get an insight into the structures of the creations, according to Phys.org.
While many theories have been thrown up, none of them is conclusive, leading the Heritage Innovation Preservation Institute to seek answers to the questions on the structures. The latest subject will be the Bent Pyramid in Dashur, famous due to its "curved sides".
Plates have been embedded into the pyramid in order to gather information on the "radiographic particles, muons", that are dropping from the earth's atmosphere through cracks and will be absorbed by the pyramid's hard surfaces.
Hany Halal, vice-president of the institute, is seeking to advance knowledge through the pyramid's structures.
"For the construction of the pyramids, there is no single theory that is 100 percent proven or checked; They are all theories and hypotheses," said Helal. "What we are trying to do with the new technology, we would like to either confirm or change or upgrade or modify the hypotheses that we have on how the pyramids were constructed."
New details will be researched further through the collaborative project, Scan Pyramids.
