Northeast Cities Warned Of Dangerous Snowstorm Conditions
A rough East Coast snowstorm is being predicted, which will affect almost 50 million people, according to Yahoo News.
At some point this weekend, the weather is expected to deteriorate, so that cities like Boston, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington D.C., might get affected. Experts hope that snow might submerge these regions for 6 inches to several feet.
Hence, the major winter storm will affect the area on Friday and Saturday.
The storm has already hit Twitter as people vent their ire.
One writer @JetBlue tweeted: "When will you start allowing people to change their flight plans in advance of this snow storm projected to hit the northeast?!?"
Another tweeter, @NickGator wrote: "My weekend plans get ruined by this "snow storm" that is coming I'm warning everyone now, you all better watch out!"
Worrying "outages, closed roads, downed transportation efforts and even beach erosion and coastal flooding" for Long Island, New England and New Jersey are expected, says AZ Central.
Winds would be blowing at 35 mph and visibility will be low. Researchers are confident of the excessive storm away from the actual event.
Washington, D.C. is expected to be affected the most, even as a 50 percent chance of "double-digit snowfall" will hit the land.
