Yolanda Foster Expressed Gratitude To One Of Her Doctors For Guiding Her In Her Lyme Disease
In her continuing struggle with tick-borne Lyme disease, the Real Housewives on Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster expressed her heartfelt gratitude to one of her doctors who provided her quality treatment leading to significant improvements in her overall health.
Writing recently on her Instagram, the actress named Dr. Klinghardt as an instrumental figure in her uphill battle against a disease which many people have never heard of.
"Thank you Dr. Klinghardt for being my guiding light in uncovering the mystery of chronic disease. I am forever grateful for your kindness, knowledge and guidance in this crazy journey," said Foster in her Instagram as quoted by People Magazine.
Accompanying the message was an attached photo of Yolanda Foster and Dietrich Klinghardt, founder of Sophia Health Institute which specializes in chronic illness medications with a wide variety of therapies including medicine-based and even lifestyle changes.
In a related development, Foster's daughter, 20-year old Gigi Hadid, won the MasterChef Celebrity Showdown with $25, 000 prize money. The young supermodel hoped that the amount would help fund existing research efforts in finding a cure for the disease that already affected her mother and two siblings.
"My mom, sister and brother are all affected by Lyme disease. Not enough people know what Lyme disease is and the dangers of being bitten by an insect. For that on its own is amazing but with $25,000, we can help with finding a cure. It can help so much," remarked the teary-eyed model while trying to hold back her tears as mentioned by Entertainment Tonight.
While some people are clearly supportive of Foster's battle against Lyme disease since her diagnosis in 2012, her co-stars aren't. She's quite shocked that her Real Housewives castmates aren't buying her story.
"That's the worst part of it. When people think you're crazy...There's nothing worse than being an intelligent woman like me and people doubting what you're saying, including your family and friends. I pity them," said Foster in response to critics who think that she's only using Lyme disease as a way to get a whole lot of media attention as mentioned in a report by Perez Hilton.
