Apple Pairs with Luxury-Goods Maker, Hermes, Sales Available Online
Last year, Apple announced that it is partnering with Hermes, the luxury-goods company to come up with a leather strap Apple watch. Apple named it as the Apple Watch Hermes Collection. Styled with a stainless steel Apple watch in two sizes, 38 and 42 millimeters paired with leather straps made by Hermes. This uber-luxury watch comes at a price point of $1,100 to $1,500, says Business
While the partnership was announced last year in September 2015 and the was available for purchase from next month onwards, it was a challenge to find an exclusive store that would sell this luxurious wonder. However, with 2016, that changed. According to a rumor report by Fashionista, Apple has made their exclusive watch available on their online store for the customers to buy easily. The buyers can choose from three models. However, the Hermes store hasn't started selling this watch in one of their retail stores yet.
Due to the exclusive watch face, the bands will not be sold separately by either Apple or Hermes. The minimalist design of the watch face has been designed to show 12, four and one number on the face along with Hermes logo, in one of three typefaces. WatchOS 2 can be added to all three faces, the date, a world clock, and stopwatch, says Digital Trend
Early watch partner and a French boutique made the Apple Hermes watch available for online order. Since the stocks have been shared with the resellers, the watch is also available for purchase on eBay. However, now its online availability has been made official. Hermes partnered with Apple to offer their high-end leather straps to the Apple watch. But earlier the watch could only be purchased in big cities such as San Francisco, New York, Miami and Los Angeles, reported 9to5Mac
