Video: U.S. Company Designs Tattoo To Track Medical Data

Here is a cool tattoo that can double as a medical touchstone or even store your financial data. It has been designed by a Texas-based company, Chaotic Moon, and is called "tech tats". The product will do well as a "biowearable," according to its website.

The tattoo is comprised of sensors and microchips that monitor blood pressure, temperature and heart rate, as it is made with electroconductive paint. It can last for a year.

"The idea is less like laying a circuit board onto your hand, as the video above shows, and more like having a slightly more protrusive tattoo with a bunch of chips on it," Vice explains.

All the medical data can then be transmitted to the doctor through a mobile app or computer. "So the tech tattoos can really tie in everything into one package. It can look at early signs of fever, your vital signs, heart rate, everything it needs to look at to notify you that you're getting sick or your child is getting sick," said Eric Schneider, the company's hardware creative technologist.

The alternative uses of tech tattoos include tracking children's location and other military applications such as identifying poisons in the air.
