Battlefield 5 Release: Battlefield 4 And Hardline DLCs Available For Free
Video games publisher Electronic Arts and developer DICE have announced that they are offering free downloads of expansions for Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline, celebrating Battlefield 5's release.
Players can get Battlefield 4 add-on 'Dragon's Teeth' and the Battlefield Hardline expansion 'Robbery' for free. Both DLCs are compatible with Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC. The offer is valid until May 10.
Battlefield 4's Dragon's Teeth DLC (2014) offers four additional multiplayer maps including Lumphini Garden, Pearl Market, Propaganda and Sunken Dragon, the Chain Link game mode, and new gizmos, such as the R.A.W.R. ground vehicle, reported Engadget.
Battlefield Hardline's Robbery expansion offers four new maps, including The Docks, Break Pointe, Museum, and Precinct 7, a game mode that allows players to team up with criminals to plan and execute heists, new weapons, two new vehicles, new features for gear customization, and two new gadgets.
Meanwhile, DICE is also running a community mission for players to unlock special rewards. Players who collectively score 300,000 points in Battlefield Hardline's Heist mode from May 3 - May 10 will get a Gold Battlepack. Alternatively, if the community in BF4 scores 2.5 million Melee Kills, participating players will get a Gold Battlepack.
Fans can expect even more free Battlefield DLC over the coming weeks and months.
"Over the next few months we'll be giving away previously released expansion packs for both games to anyone playing on Xbox One, Xbox 360, Origin for PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3," it was revealed on the Battlefield website, according to The Monitor Daily.
EA Access subscribers on the Xbox One can get Battlefield: Hardline Premium for free from the Xbox Store while Origin Access subscribers can do the same from Origin Store.
The publisher will unveil the next Battlefield title during a livestream that is scheduled to begin on Friday, May 6, at 4 p.m. ET.
