"The phablet is likely to house a 4,500mAh battery with connectivity options such as 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and GPS. On the software front, it could run on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow," according to BGR

As far the camera, the device will feature 16 MP primary camera alongside dual-tone LED flash. The camera is said to have autofocus HDR, full HD video recording in addition to other standard features seen in other phablets. The front camera is 5MP with no special features and would support taking decent selfies.

The device that is expected to be launched in Beijing National Convention Centre on Tuesday would be the slimmest of all phablets in the maeket. The price range is not specified by the company just yet but it is rumored to cost around $200 for the basic model.

"Xiaomi is also set to unveil the Android Marshmallow-based MIUI 8 which is expected to bring material design interface, new animations and features. At the launch event, the Mi Band 2 with LED display is also expected to be unveiled. However, as pointed by Huami CEO Huang Wang, Xiaomi's manufacturing partner, production issues could delay its launch," noted BGR.
