Samsung is all set to release Galaxy Note 6 phablet alongside a bunch of smartphones this season. While no official release is added announced just yet, the device is expected to be launched in late summer or early autumn.

Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is anticipated to be out a week or two after the IFA trade show. The rumors on the release date of the device are quite confusing as reports from Korea has it that the device will be launched in July while one of the reports from Alphr notes that it would be announced in IFA and released in August or early September.

As for the specs, the device would reportedly come with 6GB RAM and 256GB storage capacity. Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will feature a 5.8-inch 2K display and would run on Google's Android N from launch. The device is rumored to be available in two variants; one is curved "edged" model and other being flat "lite" model and they are said to feature Super AMOLED display with a full HD 1080p resolution and Quad HD 2560 x 1440 screen resolution respectively.

"Unlike the full-fledged Note 6 sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 chipset, it will run on the Snapdragon 820. The latter is still a good chipset as it is found to be in many flagship smartphones available in the market today. Also, unlike the 6GB RAM of the Note 6, the Lite version will be scaled down to 4GB," according to The Bitbag.

As far as the battery is concerned Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is more likely to carry a sizeable 4,200mAh battery. The device will feature MicroSD slot in spite of its 256GB inbuilt storage and is believed to be of good use for professionals that need abundant data storage space.

"The Galaxy Note 5 had a UK launch price of £450, but it's slightly misleading to use this as a benchmark for the Note 6 seeing as it had a delayed launch on these shores. The two iterations before the Note 5 - the Note 3 and Note 4 - were £619 and £629 respectively. We'd say Samsung will pitch the Note 6 along these lines, with a price tag around the £620 watermark," noted Alphr.
