'Arrow' Season 5 Spoilers, Cast & Spoilers: Oliver Queen Expects Big Surprises

By Brian McNeill | Update Date: May 11, 2016 05:56 AM EDT

‘Arrow’ is winding down to its last couple of episodes as the plot thickens for Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and the gang.

The last time out, Oliver was able to discover some magic from within when he faced Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) which could be showcased in the coming episode “Monument Point” which airs on May 11.

The team is still mourning at the loss of Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) a couple of episodes back and the team members are still trying to regroup. But the longer they wait, the more powerful Darhk is becoming until that short trip of Oliver and Felicity (Emily Becket Rickards) to meet Esrin Fortuna (Gabriella Wright) somehow sparked something.

All that was in full display during Ollie and Darhk’s last encounter so the upcoming episode may see the Green Arrow trying to improve his “magical” powers.

At some point, Oliver and his team are expected to overcome Darhk but expect some twists before Arrow season 4 ends. One character that could be crossed out is Oliver’s younger sister, Thea (Willa Holland) who finds herself imprisoned in a biodome last time out.

Though Team Arrow had opted to go underground, it still remains a mystery how Thea ended up there. It is believed that her father Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) had a hand in it to keep his daughter from the chaos that seems to be imminently happening.

Thea’s character is expected to peak by the season 4 finale and that includes finding her true self. After dealing with bloodlust, Thea is still a bit torn on who she really is and where she rightfully belongs. Is she a Queen or a Merlyn? Better yet, will that impact her role as “Speedy” on Team Arrow?

A dramatic turn of events could ensue heading into season 5 and Thea could eventually be a crucial part of it. Will she be lured into the side of her father, signalling a dark turn? If not, how does this impact her place on Ollie’s team?

Some possible answers to that could be answered as early as next week on the episode “Lost in the Flood”. Oliver and John Diggle (David Ramsey) will venture out to save Thea from the biodome which could come with some repercussions.

Before getting ahead of ourselves, let us see what transpired in the coming episode, “Monument Point” which airs this coming Wednesday (May 11) at 8 p.m. on CW.
