The highly popular sci-fi space exploration game, titled "No Man's Sky" will be rolled out on PS4, Xbox One and PC on June 21, 2016. Gamers can expect stunning graphics, new features and a lot more from the upcoming gaming title which is poised to be one of 2016's biggest games.

Hello Games boss Sean Murray has recently revealed in an interview with IGN that the team had almost decided to cancel the sci-fi space project after it was announced last 2013, according to Design N TrendMurray revealed that the four-person team was initially hesitated to announce "No Man's Sky" at Geoff Keighley's 2013 VGX awards. However, Keighley was the one who ultimately convinced them to unveil a trailer for the space exploration game.

To the team's surprise, the trailer was very well received with praise and excitement. Unfortunately, the Hello Games' office was seriously damaged by a heavy flood.

"It was a couple of weeks later, and it was Christmas Eve and we were all off from work," Murray told IGN. "The whole office flooded."

"I think if we hadn't announced the game-I nearly backed out of it-I think if we had backed out of it, and then had been flooded, it's hard to know...I think we might have canned No Man's Sky. Because we would have been feeling really unsure of it."

Even after facing the challenges, the "No Man's Sky" developers continued working on the project. In fact, the game was placed center stage at Sony's E3 2014 press conference. Talking about the space exploration game "No Man's Sky," Murray has hinted that the game might get a multiplayer mode.

"We haven't really talked about multiplayer, but I want kind of a Journey-esque feel to it," Sean Murray said in a previous interview, according to Game N Guide. "You get a sense that you're playing with other people, and you can see the actions of other people."

In fact, there is also the possibility of "No Man's Sky" coming with VR support.

"I think VR, in general, is incredibly exciting," Murray told IGN.

"No Man's Sky" will be released on PS4 and PC on June 21 in North America, June 22 in Europe and June 24 in the U.K. Are you excited about "No Man's Sky"? Let us know in comments below.
