iPhone 7 & iPhone 7 Plus Specs, Release Date & Price: Leaked Images Show Unexpected Apple Changes

According to T3 via a source named @OnLeaks AKA Steve Hemmerstoffer of Nowwhereelse.fr both flagship devices will now exclude the traditional headphone jacks prompting users to incorporate a wireless headphone or secure usage via the Lightning Dock.

A single camera lens is also being promoted ditching the rumored hefty dual lens camera for the Plus edition. The lens as rendered by the image extends beyond the casing reminding you of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s but without the accompanying metal ring on the lens.

The iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Pro will also be furnished with a Smart Connector on the rear, a feature which first appeared on the iPad Pro, however, this will be excluded from the standard version of the iPhone 7.

Music aficionados may be put-off by the fact that the both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will not be offering the much-talked about dual speaker set-up. Instead, Apple has chosen a more subtle route by incorporating a single speaker.

The present rendering may suggest that the top and bottom antenna lines on the rear of the phone are hardly discernible, these will be more in evidence in finished model as mentioned. The lines which span the back of the phone will also be rub out prior to the release.

Still the dimensions of both models are unchanged from last year, with the iPhone 7 measuring at 138.30x67.12x7.1mm and the iPlus 7 Plus at 158.22x77.94x7.3mm.

Nevertheless, the leaked images were from 3-4 months during Apple's January testing stage, so apparently numerous features may still be added prior to the targeted release this September.

It has been rumored that Apple will still be sticking to a traditional Tuesday release with the 6th and the 13th of September being those dates.
