International Masturbation Month: 7 Porn Facts You Should Know Now
May is “International Masturbation Month”, a sensitive and somehow controversial topic depending on how one receives it. There are some who may be against it while others wanting more information on the things tied up to it.
For the record, there is no reason why May was chosen as “International Masturbation Month”. It is not seen as a ploy to help out sex toy manufacturers or even the porn industry to get added attention.
Speaking of porn, it is technically a foregone conclusion that anyone has at some point seen pornographic or adult films. It could have been during the curious teen ages up to today. It’s obvious intent is to address sexual pleasures outside that of actual sexual intercourse, again something that varies per individual.
Some may call it lame while others would think nothing of it. The fact is that everyone has sexual appetites to address, understandable though sometimes hard to depict. And of course porn is tied up to all of that. But is it healthy for guys and gals?
For the benefit of those who want to know more about masturbation and the things porn does to aid it, here are some interesting facts to ponder on.
- Ejaculation helps lower risk of prostate cancer. Depending on one’s load, it is a fact that “flushing out” helps contain prostate cancer among men. This is seen as effective especially for men over 50 per the Harvard Medical School.
- Frequent masturbation could lead to higher sex drive. For the ones below 50, frequent masturbation allegedly results to higher sex drive and also an increased risk of prostate cancer. It seems quite odd if you compare it to the first fact but that is what this source suggests.
- Goodbye Diabetes and Insomnia?. Masturbation can be stressful and there is no telling on what you “release” after ejaculation. While Insomnia may be linked to fatigue, diabetes-related stuff could be part of that semen release.
- Penis injuries. Depending on how one ejaculates, doing it too hard could result to injury or even fractures. Hence, it may be wise to take it easy.
- Most masturbate by 17. The figures from the National Survey for Sexual Health and Behavior claim that 80% of teens have already masturbated by 17 which could make sense. It may vary depending on culture but is still something that is believable.
- Married people still masturbate. Though there are some who believe that individuals stop masturbating once married, that may not be entirely true. The reasons vary but is not a surprising find.
- Men watch porn more than women. Somehow this doesn’t come as a surprise though the figures could be useful. According to a study, 63% of men had at least looked or watched porn with women doing it at 20%. And obviously, anyone knows what would be next if they were indeed watching.
