One way or the other, there is no proper gauge to figure out how people are surviving their mental challenges. Some would need the aid of a specialist to figure it out but the thing is that not all people are aware that they need help.

Though that may be up for debate with people either admitting or denying that they do need help, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with Prince Harry are backing the Heads Together campaign that can hopefully address the stigma of mental health.

The cause will see them work with charity partners to build on the great work already taking place in the country. This can hopefully help individuals feel more comfortable and at ease with regards to their everyday mental well-being and do away with the mentality of seeking help when needed.

“Through our work with young people, emergency response, homeless charities, and with veterans, we have seen time and time again that unresolved mental health problems lie at the heart of some of our greatest social challenges,” said the Duke of Cambridge.

The launch was held at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, highlight the work that Heads Together charity partners have already done. That includes tackling stigma, raising awareness, and providing vital help for people with mental health challenges. The team covers a wide range of mental health issues that are incidentally in line with passions of their Royal Highnesses such as:

  1. Anna Freud Centre
  2. Best Beginnings
  3. CALM – The Campaign Against Living Miserably
  4. Contact (a military mental health coalition)
  5. Mind
  6. Place2Be
  7. The Mix
  8. YoungMinds

“We're already working with our partner charities and thousands of people to change the way that people think about mental health. We do not want prejudice and fear to stand in the way of people getting the help they need to cope with life,” said Prince Harry

The Heads Together campaign is supported by The Hans & Julia Rausing Trust, ShareGift as well as the Heads Together founding corporate partners - Dixons Carphone, Unilever UK and Virgin Money. Wihtthe support, the aims of the campaign together with well-fund specific projects aims to help everyone deal better with the issue governing mental health.
