The American singer and songwriter, Lenny Kravitz, expressed his happiness on getting a chance to sing with the hard rock band, Guns N' Roses. Lenny said that he is looking forward to the upcoming summer tour during which he will open the rock music concert for the band at various locations.

Many reports claim that Kravitz recently opened up and shared his feelings on doing this small venture with the America's popular rock band. "I don't normally do gigs like this," Lenny told Rolling Stone. "But sometimes you've got to do things for the fun of it, for the experience. I'm looking forward to playing with them and celebrating them coming back."

The 51-year also said that he shares a personal connection with all the members of the band like Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan right from the start and this small gig would be a reunion sort of thing for him. "I've known Axl, Slash and Duff from the beginning," said Kravitz, as reported by Gulf News. "We all came up together, and we worked together. I wrote Always on the Run with Slash and he played on Fields of Joy, both on my Mama Said album."

The Fields of Joy singer also revealed few details about his small act in the band's upcoming summer tour. Kravitz said that the songs will be improvised to a great extent to match the summer tempo and thus provide the fans with an enthralling experience.

"We're definitely going to jam and improvise and get loose, and treat it like a festival," said Lenny, as reported by Boston Globe. "Summertime always makes me think of festivals like the Isle of Wight, when Miles Davis and Jimi Hendrix played. I love the summer, outdoor concert vibe, so we'll rock out and improvise and go deep and get psychedelic and out there."

Meanwhile, Kansas City reported that the Black Velveteen singer reconnected with the band members during their first reunion show at Los Angeles' Troubadour in April.

Previously, there were reports that Lenny will be performing with the Guns N' Roses band after almost a decade and a half. The singer last appeared on stage during the band's Paris concert in 1992. It is also reported that the rock band had also once accompanied Kravitz during his Always on the Run tour.

Besides, Guns N' Roses has also announced that Alice in Chains will also be joining them for their upcoming Not in This Lifetime summer tour on the first few dates i.e. from June 23rd in Detroit through July 3rd in Chicago.

The Guns N' Roses summer tour is slated to take place from June 23, 2016 to August, 22, 2016 at various places like Detroit, Washington DC, Kansa City, Chicago, Chicago, Cincinnati, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Toronto, East Rutherford, Atlanta, Orlando, New Orleans, Arlington, Houston, San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles and San Diego.
