Nokia has made it public that it will be sending their brand and intellectual property to HMD Global after they have in some way broken ties with Microsoft who had put their company in dire straits.

According to its website, the upstart company will barely start from scratch and work to bring into being for the global market a new selection of Android smartphones and tablets for retail. Arturo Nummela will take on CEO duties for the newly established company after business transactions will be cleared up by the end of June. Nummela was once a huge part of Nokia prior to being transplanted into Microsoft when the second company absorbed the mobile commercial venture.

HMD Global and Microsoft have both settled on a conditional deal for the former to get hold of the rights to use the Nokia brand name on the feature phones alongside a particular set of related design rights.

Foxconn is also a major participant in this new business undertaking as a brand new set of board of directors are gunning to "set mandatory brand requirements and performance-related provisions."

Coincidentally, a minor off-shoot of Foxconn, FIH mobile also salvage the other loose end of Nokia's brink of failure by buying out the business from Microsoft for $350 million.

Both HMD Global and FIH have set a collaborative vision which is "to support the building of a global business for Nokia-branded mobile phones and tablets."

Prior to this merger, the Nokia N1 tablet was a precursor of things to come from the budding partnership for both companies.

The superlative conclusion in this business machinations will, therefore, be a new hardware company that has all the design expertise of Nokia and all the manufacturing insight of Foxconn, via its FIH Mobile subsidiary.

This outcome will also play a major role in Nokia's recent acquisition of Withings - as the company will be putting their own chips on the table for the wearable consumer device in the market.

The politics behind Nokia's comeback maybe long-winded but to simply put it: Nokia phones will finally continue via an Android platform and will give birth to a new stock of smartphones and tablets from the Finnish company.

Nokia was once the largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world, will it finally make a spectacular comeback? Hit us with what you think below!
