iPhone 7 Specs, Price & Release Date: All-Glass Device Confirmed But iTunes Still A Problem
Apple confirms the release of one all-glass iPhone in 2017. The iPhone 7 is not getting major updates as the company is probably focusing on the model up for release in 2017 which we presume to be called iPhone 7s.
We now have it that, iPhone to be released in 2017 will be made of glass including the curved body that will replicate the design of iPhone 4s. While it has been rumored for quite long time that Apple is going all glass, there is a piece of reliable information this week from one of the company insiders.
"Catcher Technology is an Apple supplier, a firm which builds smartphone bodies and has made them for previous iPhone models where it has created the metal components, but now the company's chairman and CEO, Allen Horng, has commented on the glass body rumours. Nikkei reports that Horng said 'as far as I know, only one model will adopt glass casing next year,' in response to questions regarding the 2017 iPhone," noted Know Your Mobile.
However, it appears that the upcoming iPhone will have a strong metal frame inside the all-glass casing. As per the statement it is evident that iPhone Plus or iPhone Pro will retain its metal body like ever before. Meanwhile, the issues regarding iTunes with iOS 9.3.2 still appears to be the company's big concern. The 'Error 56' code is shown and the user is forced to reboot the device to be able to use the phone again.
For now, we have iPhone 7 release just couple of months ahead of us. "Apple is reportedly taking it a notch [this year] further and is tipped to launch three variants namely iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and the iPhone 7 Pro/Plus Premium. Apple considering giving the 3.5mm headphone jack a miss to make the next iPhone much slimmer than its predecessors," reported Gadgets NDTV.
The RAM size is said to be increased to 3GB in order to support the dual camera set up. The iPhone 7 device will reportedly be 1 mm thinner than the earlier versions of the phone. To be able to make it thinner the company has no other choice than ditching the usual headphone jack.
iPhone 7 release date is reportedly set in September, the Apple's traditional launch month and the price tag of the phone is yet to be revealed.
