Season two of the popular Japanese manga series, "The Seven Deadly Sins," is rumored to get released sometime later in 2016. The release date of "The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2 was confirmed in a commercial video broadcasted during the last episode of "Arslan Senki" or "The Heroic Legend of Arslan," which aired on Sept. 26, 2015.

While, fans are eagerly waiting for the release, rumors are that manga writer Nakaba Suzuki has not yet completed season 2 storyline and few chapters are still in the pipeline. This suggest that the release might get delayed to 2016 end, according to Yibada.

It is expected that even if "The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2 gets aired in 2016, the English dub version will not come out until 2017.

"The Japanese text from the official video of the anime only tells fans that the production is green-lit for 2016, but since the Japanese first season finished airing in March of 2015, it is probably safe to presume that North American audiences will need to wait until 2017," according to The Inquisitr.

"The Seven Deadly Sins" season one finale, which was aired in March 2015, ended with the victory of Meliodas and his group, over their enemies. Spoilers suggest that Meliodas will emerge fully victorious in the upcoming season. Fans can expect to see a few action-packed sequences with Meliodas reinstated with his full powers in the upcoming season.

Nakaba had earlier revealed that the manga will contain three new story arcs with 100 chapters each. It is speculated that the new episodes of the anime series will showcase the Demon Clan story arc from the manga series, reported Korea Portal.

If "The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2 follows the manga, it is likely that the new episodes will also feature a group of powerful demons called as the Ten Commandments. The immortal character of Ban will go on a journey to resurrect his dead love.

The production house is yet to announce an official release date for "The Seven Deadly Sins" season 2. Fans can stream "The Seven Deadly Sins" season one on Netflix.
