Frank Ocean’s New Album Update: ‘Boys Don't Cry’ In The Making?
Frank Ocean's new album which was supposed to be released in mid-2015 is pending for over a year now. Furthermore, Ocean hasn't opened up through the year and fans are skeptic if the singer is really working on his most awaited album "Boys Don't Cry."
Frank Ocean announced the release of his new album "Boys Don't Cry" last year but failed to drop it and also remained silent till date. Ocean's Channel Orange must undoubtedly have impressed fans so much that they are not tired of waiting for his upcoming work.
While there is no information from Ocean on his own album he has made guest appearance on "The Colour in Anything" by singer James Blake. Ocean was also seen in Kim Kardashian's famous husband Kanye West's album "Wolves."
Meanwhile Blake spilled in one of the interviews after the release of "The Colour in Anything" that Ocean's new album will be a masterpiece. Though he hasn't shared any details about the upcoming album he gave hope to Ocean lovers that something awesome is in the making.
"No-one is really able to find Frank when Frank goes away, literally no-one, not just publications," Blake told Complex, according to DIY. "I know he's away making a masterpiece. I think that Frank is very, very focused on his catalogue. Anything that you hear him on that's a feature was recorded a long time ago."
Recently Blake also opened up about how Frank Ocean and Rick Rubin helped him in his career. Blake noted that Ocean's influence was all over the place in him, more than writing the record or melodies. While Blake has hinted that Ocean's album is in the making it is not certain if it is "Boys Don't Cry" or something else.
"'His [Frank Ocean] music was a huge influence on the way I was writing the record, the way I was writing melodies.' Intriguingly, Ocean's Channel Orange was not the record that grabbed Blake's attention. 'I was more of a fan of him when I heard his newer music. It's better. You grow, you improve, you nail a new message to the board. He's had time to mature. It's really cool to watch,' noted Blake," as reported by Rolling Stone.
