It seems fans will have to wait a little longer for their sci-fi space exploration game "No Man's Sky" to get released on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Recent reports suggest release date of "No Man's Sky," which was previously set on June 21, has been rescheduled to July or August at the earliest, reported Kotaku, citing two sources.

A GameStop employee told the publication that stores has been informed that the June 21 release date was no longer correct, and that the date should be covered with a "coming soon" label. However, the makers, Hello Games, are yet to officially confirm the news.

Expectations for the sci-fi space game "No Man's Sky" have been running high since it was first announced in 2013. Spoilers suggest that gamers can expect stunning graphics, new features and a lot more from the upcoming gaming title which is claimed to be one of 2016's biggest games.

Hello Games boss Sean Murray had revealed in an interview with IGN that the team had almost decided to cancel the sci-fi space project after it was announced last 2013, according to Design N Trend.

Murray revealed that the four-person team was initially hesitated to announce "No Man's Sky" at Geoff Keighley's 2013 VGX awards. However, Keighley was the one who ultimately convinced them to unveil a trailer for the space exploration game.

To the team's surprise, the trailer was very well received with praise and excitement. Unfortunately, the Hello Games' office was seriously damaged by a heavy flood.

Even after facing the challenges, the "No Man's Sky" developers continued working on the project. In fact, the game was placed center stage at Sony's E3 2014 press conference. Talking about the space exploration game "No Man's Sky," Murray has hinted that the game might get a multiplayer mode.

"We haven't really talked about multiplayer, but I want kind of a Journey-esque feel to it," Sean Murray said in a previous interview, according to Game N Guide. "You get a sense that you're playing with other people, and you can see the actions of other people."

There's still a possibility that the game may release on June 21 until the makers officially announce delay in release.
