NCIS Season 14 Spoilers, Cast & Release Date: How Gibbs, Abby Deal With DiNozzio Exit
NCIS follows a trend of heart-wrenching season finales when the 13 season came to a wrapt last May 17. There were two characters that bid adieu, Tony DiNozzio (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva David (Cote de Pablo).
Apparently the title alone tells the title of the NCIS season 14 finale though the exit of Tony and Ziva may not be entirely permanent. Ziva was alleged killed at an attack though there was no footage of it while Tony has ventured out into accepting fatherhood with Tali, Ziva’s daughter.
Of the two, there is a chance for DiNozzio to re-emerge at some point though it will be an occasional one.
"I believe in the franchise of 'NCIS' very much. I would absolutely be open to anything and everything, including things that no one's even thought of yet," he said via Deadline.

So how does this affect the roles of Abby (Pauley Perrette) and Gibbs (Mark Harmon)? Apparently DiNozzio will be big loss and the two will have to move forward perhaps with ‘new blood’.
By new blood, this is with reference to two new faces in Tess Monroe (Sarah Clarke) and Clayton Reeves (Duane Henry). Both agents are expected to work closely with Gibbs and Abby as they continue to give chase to the escaped British spy who has been targeting agents globally.
Can they fill in the shoes left by Weatherly and Ziva?
There will definitely be a lot of adjustments in season 14, not only for the fans but the two characters left who were closely tied up with DiNozzio. And it may all boil down to chemistry issues where Monroe and Reeves could find the working relationship rough in the preliminary episodes of NCIS season 14.
Being good agents in their own rights, the two are likely to use that against Abby, Gibbs and the rest of the team. It is likely that the new core will run into a lot of problems which could bring back memories of that reported death of Ziva.
DiNozzio won’t be around but perhaps some flashbacks recalling the things that had transpired will somehow guide and evolve the new team to be more productive.
It will be a period of transition on NCIS Season 14 which returns on CBS this Fall.
