The Last of Us 2 Release Date, Updates & Spoilers: Are They Hiring New Designers?

News about "The Last of Us 2" could be brewing up anytime soon especially with an announcement courtesy from game developer Naughty Dog. The next level for the survival horror game could be in motion as Emilia Schatz, lead designer for Naughty Dog posted a job hiring on her Twitter page captioned with "Looking for level designers, especially if you have art and modeling experience. Want to help make ND's next game?"

According to Tech Times, the post itself is by the skin of your teeth worth mentioning, as it listed the normal various tasks such as partnering with programmers and other designers in developing and improving tools on an ongoing basis, as well as collaborating with artists, programmers, animators and other game designers to realize the vision of the levels and the game.

On the other hand, there is one concern that stands out, which basically asks the job seeker to "design and produce fun and emotionally engaging third-person action gameplay and levels, from high concept planning to object placement and scripting."

It has been deduced by the website that this suggestion that is connected to either "The Last of Us 2." But then again, Naughty Dog might be working on a completely new IP. Perhaps some hints about this might be further revealed at the coming E3 in the Sony booth.

Game creators Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley had a recently told Venture Beat about their latest masterpiece, "Uncharted 4." Although they were mum on "The Last of Us 2," they opened up on some of their experiences in the game and how it differs from the "Uncharted" series.

"When you're doing something new it's always exciting," Druckmann said. "That's why coming back to Uncharted was exciting, because 'Last of Us' was so different. To come to Uncharted was reinvigorating in that way. That's why, in a lot of ways, Uncharted 4 was a love letter to the franchise."
