Who Will Be The 2016 WWE Money In The Bank Winner? [POLL]

WWE will hold its 2016 WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view and the focus will be of course the seven men who will vie for the iconic “Money in the Bank” briefcase.

As of this writing, the six combatants include Kevin Owens, Alberto Del Rio, Cesaro, Sami Zayn, Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho. A look at the WWE site shows seven participants with the last slot still unknown.

Looking at the participants, critics have favored Owens to win it all though there are other factors to consider. Though it will be every man for himself, the storyline feuds could alter all that. Owens has a colorful rivalry going on with Zayn while another favorite, Dean Ambrose, is likely to have trouble with Y2J.

If that is the case, four WWE stars will already have their hands full and such will dim their chances to be this year’s WWE Money in the Bank winner. So does that whittle down the potential winner between Alberto Del Rio, Cesaro and the mystery seventh participant?

Unless the WWE somehow starts up a feud that includes Del Rio and/or Cesaro, the ones not tied up to any storyline will likely be the winner.

Another angle is to see one of the WWE stars caught up in a feud to somehow get the briefcase and then carry start a new storyline with the briefcase in focus. It has happened before though the WWE MOTB briefcase is unlikely to change hands.

Under this scenario, pundits who are picking Owens could happen though the chances seem to be pretty much even with the other combatants. Ambrose has been a long-time favorite but everyone knows that the “Lunatic Fringe” can easily get to the top without such a privilege.

In the end, it is all about giving the right WWE star the right to challenge (at any time) and probably someone who carries a heel role. Of the mix, the best heels to come out are Owens, Del Rio and probably the seventh mystery player.

Jericho would be a shoo-in but the thing is that Y2J can easily disappear at any point. This will likely happen once the WWE gets all its injured stars back so seeing him with the 2016 edition of WWE Money in the Bank doesn’t hold comforting odds.

WWE Money in the Bank 2016 happens on June 19 starting at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
