Although Apple tried to bring in an element of surprise during the launch of its iPhone 7 on September 7, yet there weren't as many surprises as Apple would have wanted.

One of the biggest questions Apple's present fanbase has is perhaps if Apple's latest flagship product is worth buying. So, here's a brief roundup of Apple's top features.

Design

Although Apple's latest products look somewhat similar to last year's model, yet there have been a number of improvements. For example, Apple has  modified the antennas to make it look better. Moreover, it has also made the camera bump more attractive.

Display

Apple has included updated Retina HD displays, which are 25% brighter that the last generation iPhones. In addition, they will also be supporting HD touch and provide enhanced color management.

Battery Life & Power

The latest iPhone 7 consists of a new A10 Fusion SoC. There's also a new six-core GPU that is 50% faster than the A9. It also consumes only two-thirds as much power as last year's A9, reported BGR. Meanwhile, Macrumors suggested iPhone 7 Plus has 3 GB RAM, 1 GB up from iPhone 6s.

Camera

The camera of the latest generation of iPhone has been totally revamped. It now provides optical image stabilization, 6 - element lens, better energy efficient 12 - megapixel sensor, and more.

Water & Dust Resistance

Apple's fans can now take a swim with their iPhone as the newest tech comes with an IP 67 rating, which means it could suvive up to 30 minutes under 1 meter of water.

Audio

Even if the iPhone users hate it, Apple has done away with the headphone jacks. However, they have included stereo speakers in the new model and are much louder than the old ones.

New Colors

Apple has finally decided to do away with space gray. So users would have an option of choosing from silver, gold and rose gold. To compensate for the loss, Apple is bringing in two new colors - black , and a jet black color.

Unfortunately jet black would be available only for the 128 GB and 256 GB models of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus.

Notably, Apple's iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be available for preorder from September 9, 2016. They will officially launch on September 16, with a price tag of $649 for a 32 GB iPhone 7 or $749 for a 32 GB iPhone 7 Plus.
