Fans eager to watch the final Season 8 of 'The Vampire Diaries' will be disappointed to know that their wish to see Nina Dobrev reprise her role in the show might not come true.

The possible comeback of the actress has been the most talked about news on the series recently. It rested on the affirmation made by Executive Producer of the show-Julie Plec that the actress agreed to return when needed.

To much of fans dismay who wanted Dobrev to make her comeback as Elena and be reunited with Damon in the final season, their longing may just remain a dream. According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the former lead actress is apparently not willing to give in to the pressure of reprising her role as Elena on the show.

The report hinted at a cryptic message posted by Dobrev on Instagram that read, "And she gave no f***s. Not even one. And she lived happily ever after. The End."

The report further stated that the actress does not want to sign up for the finale as she does not want to take two steps backward in her career. She is reported to have a line of films in her kitty including Flatliners, Crash Pad, xXx:Return of Xander Cage and Arrivals.

As of this date, Nina Dobrev is yet to confirm if she is going to sign up for the season finale of the show or not.

However, fans will be excited to know that Nathalie Kelley has been cast as the villain in the finale season. She plays the role of an evil lady called Sybil, who lures her victims for her personal amusement.

The official plot synopsis of the Season 8 of The Vampire Diaries reads, "Months after Damon and Enzo mysteriously vanished from the Armory vault,Stefan pushes forward with their search, while Bonnie struggles to hold onto hope that they will be found.

"'The Vampire Diaries' Season 8 is scheduled to air on Oct 21 on The CW.
