Samsung Gear S3 Smart Watch To Hit Market in November 2016

With all the smart technology around you, how amazing would it be to have a watch with the functionality of a phone? This dream came true in 1999 when Samsung launched the first ever watch phone.

Since then the technology giant is improvising the functionality and technology of its smart watches.

Now, the behemoth company is all set with its latest edition of the smart watch, Gear S3. The news that the watch will hit the market on 4 November comes from Samsung Netherlands.

Samsung announced it during their pre-IFA event. The company will release the watch in two variants, Gear S3 classic, and Gear S3 frontier.

Traditional Looks!

The two watches are bigger in diameter and heavier than the previous models. As the name suggest aesthetics of classic tends to evoke more familiar and elegant look while the frontier is more of bold and rugged look.

Though many people have shown disappointment, a majority is happy.

The Gear S3 watches have compatible and detachable 22 mm straps. It means any suitable strap can replace the existing straps. The design for the same has the approval of the tycoon Arik Levy.  

"ALWAYS ON" Snazzy display

The 1.3 inches circular Super AMOLED display with 360 x 360 pixels resolution is going to persuade many people. The increase in the display size will facilitate more options on the screen.

Another amazing attribute is that the screen will not require flicking and always be on. The screen will have the Corning Gorilla Glass SR+.

Memory

Both the devices will work on a dual-core 1GHz processor having 768MB RAM along with 4GB internal memory.

Twistable Bezel

The gadget has many functions attached to its bezel such as accepting and rejecting calls and snoozing alarms.

Whoopee Price Tag

The reports suggest that the latest edition will cost approximately between USD 285 and 430 quite similar to the previous version.

Add-ons

  • It has wireless charging capability.
  • Both the models are dust and IP68 water resistant.
  • Inbuilt GPS, gyro, barometer, heartbeat monitor and speedometer are the other features present.
  • LTE and Bluetooth versions of the frontier to enable it without mobile phone whereas classic will have only the Bluetooth flavor.
  • Both the devices will use Tizen operating system.
  • SOS function in case of emergency is another add-on to these devices.
  • Three to four days battery life will reduce charging efforts.

The expectations with the Gear S3 are extremely high. Let us wait and watch!
