Pokémon Go Halloween Update Revealed, Ghost Pokémon Coming Soon

By Shobha Vats | Update Date: Oct 25, 2016 06:58 AM EDT

Hey, my Pikachu defeated your Charizard! "I caught a Bulbasaur" are the most frequent dialogues you hear these days. The year saw an incredible inclination of most of the kids and youth towards the newly introduced Pokémon GO instead of other games. To satisfy and meet the expectations of the users, Niantic is all set to initiate the new update with the Halloween theme. The latest teasers confirm the news of the up gradation.

About the Developers and Concept

This year Niantic saw its most successful months with the launch of Pokémon GO. Though the game received wide appreciation and love, it also witnessed many controversies. The cartoon series Pokémon inspired the storyline and characters.

It is a location dependent realistic game for iOS, Android, and Apple watches. In this game, the player uses the GPS ability of the mobile device. Using the GPS, users locate, capture, train and battle the Pokémon (virtual characters).

The Halloween Mischief

The Halloween night is one of the dangerous nights. It is full of mischief with people stealing candies etc. from kids. You see the Pokémon wandering on the Halloween night, and the addicts will have to go out to collect them and fight. However, trainers can downgrade their activities to daytime hours on Halloween because cutting down the event at night is not possible.

The Halloween Update

To connect the game to the real life, Niantic has taken an initiative of adopting the upcoming Halloween theme on 31 October (Halloween day).

A Facebook post or the cryptic message in a little vague language on the official Pokémon GO account confirms the reports. The affix also contains a picture of a trainer capturing a haunter (the ghost Pokémon). It also declares that the trainers (users) will experience new and unique Pokémon in the actual world. The prediction also states the rise of the Ghost spawns.

In this update, the AR camera will provide an excellent way to capture these encounters with their friends. It will be Niantic's Pokémon Go's first real life event and hopefully more global than the current one.

Despite the Halloween night terror, the event will take place for 24 hours irrespective of the region the user lives. This event is arriving to lure back the interest of the people who have stopped playing the game. Although the news about the game is scarce, still speculations suggest that the event will last for a few days.
