Like every video game, WWE has evolved year after year. The latest version also has some awestruck features newly embedded. A little dissatisfaction, however, creeps in mainly because the WWE showcase feature is no longer available. Still, the creators have done a significant work.

In And Out Of the Ring

The developers have finally realized that WWE is all about tactics. Once hit the player can take a ring out time during which the energy is gradually restored. The player can enter back the stage when the meter reaches half way. However, the option of lying down to regain the lost power is also left open.

Anywhere and Everywhere

The wrestle is not limited to the arena. It is allowed into the crowd and the backstage area leading into the office and destroying the layout. The Backstage Brawl option allows having the match entirely out of the arena.

Moves and Hits

Reversal

The reversal mode holds the key to the win sometimes. The reversal time is too short. The icon appears only slightly over the head of the player. The player should hit the button at the right time.

Submission

The submission moves persist in this version and are even more vulnerable. When the opponent is down the move pops up, and the attacker has to slide the red to overcome the defenders' blue circle. The timing is too shortened to make a move. Therefore, if it interests one, then it is advisable to turn to the older version of hitting the button rather than sliding.

Taunting

Taunting has seen some advancement. The player can just push the button in different directions to boost a downed opponent, initiate a signature and finisher move and for stamina regeneration.

Customized Look

The creation of customized wrestlers, introduced last year, has seen great improvements. The wrestler editor is quick to download. The customization is highly improved. Logos can be placed any number of times without any layer restrictions. The faces can also be cut and pasted on the players to give them a familiar look.

Promos

Though it might be one of the major attractions in this version, it has limited usage. Many predefined text scripts are available. The player can select any text and merely repeat the dialogue. There is no option for custom creation of speeches.

MyCareer and WWE Universe

MyCareer takes the user through a series of steps to enhance the capabilities of the customized player including tryouts, televised matches, Promos, and Events, WWE Universe is, however, a seasoned option. The user can view pay-for-view events and participate in the big online events.

Multiplayer and Single player

The user can have a variety of playing modes.

In Single Battles, you log into match fixing queues while default teams are made of three players to enjoy the multiplayer thrill.

The version has gone a step ahead by including a private mode. Here, your friend circles form the teams.

The 2k17 version is a slowly evolved version of the previous versions. It is a step forward to make the game as real as possible, and it is certainly a good start.
